I so enjoyed hearing about all of your St. Valentine’s Day plans and thought I’d share mine as well. As you know, Mr. Beguiles and I are quite fond of the Stay-At-Home-Date-Night. While it can be so romantic to go out on the town, I am just as happy staying in. It’s a trade off, but given how busy we’ve been lately, a quiet night at home seems just perfect. Don’t you worry! We’ll be sure to set the mood with a bit of Ella Fitzgerald, possibly some Frank Sinatra,
and plenty of candles!
And so, without further ado, here is what I’ve got up my sleeve for my handsome Valentine…
Dinner,
Steak, potatoes and a salad. My man is nothing if not All American.
Dessert,
Vanilla ice cream topped with homemade raspberry sauce and whipped cream. Absolutely delicious!
a Movie,
We’re thinking of selecting an oldie but goodie but a final decision has yet to be made. Any suggestions?
and a Valentine!
I bought a beautiful (but manly, of course!) white coffee cup, filled it with my darling’s favorite sweet treats and topped it with a spiritual bouquet of sorts. What could be a more loving gift than the gift of prayer, after all? Plus, it’s perfect for those of us living frugally. I first heard of Spiritual Bouquets from the lovely Regina Doman. They are often gifted to those who are grieving but I think it’s an excellent gift for any occasion. I found the perfect way to package and deliver my spiritual bouquet to Mr. Beguiles over here at Inchmark. Aren’t these awesome? They will fit perfectly into the mug I selected for my honey right alongside the candy. Instead of filling the matchboxes with candy I am going to line the insides with nice paper and possibly any small images I find that remind me of the two of us. Then I will write down the prayers I plan to say for my dear husband, roll them up scroll-style and tuck them inside. I do hope he will like it!
I hope you all have a most LOVE-ly Valentine’s Day! Bisous!

Aren’t spiritual bouquets such a beautiful idea for a Valentine’s gift? I’ve gotten in the habit of offering a spiritual bouquet every St. Valentine’s Day for my ‘Mystery Man,’ that he’ll remain strong in the Faith, pure… and that he’ll find me one day!
Thanks for sharing your plans for tomorrow. It sounds lovely!
I have been off-line for a few days, taking a break, and I am so bummed that I missed the Shabby Apple giveaway.
Enjoy your evening in with your husband!
Hey hot momma! :) I love how you take such pride in you and your husband’s romance! It is so inspirational! My FH will benefit from the stories and perspectives you share! :) Happy Valentines Day!
I love that idea, Clare! I’m definitely going to do that with my kids when they are older. Your future husband is a very lucky man indeed!
Brindi~ So sorry you missed the giveaway! I plan on doing many more in the future though! I hope you have a very happy St. Valentines day!
Caitie~ Hiya cutie pie! I’m such a romantic fool. I can’t deny it. Luckily I found a husband who doesn’t mind too much. ;) Your FH is in trouble! ;)
We love stay-at-home date nights!!!
Too bad I’m playing it solo tonight…
Kate~ Turns out I’m playing it solo, too. My DH just fell asleep next to me. He’s too cute to when he sleeps to wake up! Good thing we have the Internet. ;)
