Hello, friends! Whew! Is it just me or is it getting hot in here? (You all are adorable, btw. Thanks for playing!) I thought I might lower the temp just a smidge with some refreshingly cool links for your reading pleasure…
Did you see this Clinique story? They’ve given their selling spaces a makeover so that consumers can shop uninhibited, experimenting with new products without interference from a salesperson. I love it!
I will not consider my life to be complete if Dan and I don’t try out at least a few of these hilarious date night ideas.
Are any of you familiar with Eliza Doolittle (no, not that Eliza Doolittle)? I just discovered her on Pandora and am completely smitten. I can’t vouch for the whole album yet but I absolutely adore this song. (Why do I suspect the rest of you have known about this song for two years now? As usual, I’m late to the party.)
And this song by The Piano Guys? It’s nothing less than breathtaking. It’s based on Beethoven’s famous fifth symphony plus OneRepublic’s “Secrets” and performed by Steve Nelson and the American Heritage Lyceum Philharmonic youth orchestra. You simply must have a listen! (HT: Catholic Exchange)
Karen is giving away a copy of Style, Sex, and Substance! And not just any copy, but a copy whose bookplate traveled across the country and back so that all ten contributors could sign her! I’m sure she’ll tell you all about your travels if you win — and let me tell you, she’s got some serious stories to tell!
I know many of you have felt frustration at the ways in which you feel our government has failed us in recent times. I want you to know that I feel you. NOLA? I’m afraid you’ve dropped the ball again. Mermaids most certainly do exist. Silly NOLA.
Have a lovely weekend! Do you have any fun plans? I will be getting ready for an epic road trip in which I will cross (at least) 5 states in 5 days! And also meet gorgeous Grace! I cannot wait. And don’t worry – I won’t let you all down. I will demand that Grace put all of her conversations with Simon on speaker phone and will report back. What can I say? I love you, girls!
