Lovely Links

by Hallie @ Moxie Wife on August 4, 2012

Anyone in the mood for a little light weekend reading? Here are a few of my favorite Internet finds from the past week:

Are any of you as smitten with retro hairstyles as I am? If so, consider this tutorial is a must-read! (Well, at least a few of the suggestions. A couple of them are iffy at best.)

I am absolutely smitten with Sukie’s bridesmaids’ dresses. What is it with me and weddings lately? If I had mine to do all over again I’d kidnap Leila and then oh-so gently beg her to recreate them for my own bridemaids. I love that all the dresses came from the same pattern but have different–though complimentary–fabrics. So lovely!

When life gets busy, and I get stressed, “no” is my favorite word. I feel so much more joy and peace when I am able to utter enthusiastic “yeses”, though. I simply loved this post from Modern Mrs. Darcy in which she reflects on what she learned about saying yes, from a week of saying no.

Do you read The Rhodes Log? Kate’s blog is one of my new favorites. If you are as much of a fan of witty husband and wife banter as I am you might just enjoy this hilarious post. This chock full o’ love post is an absolute treat, as well. Actually, you might want to read the love post first and then the witty one. Or not. I don’t know. They’re both solid gold.

Have you been looking to grow your blog? Anna offers 5 blog boosters in this excellent post about growing your blog and brand.

Facebook wouldn’t let me change the name of my page from “Betty Beguiles” to “Moxie Wife” so I set up a brand spankin’  new page yesterday. If you’d like to join us over on Facebook, you can find my new page right here!

Have a lovely weekend, girls!

Kisses!

Hallie

Oh my goodness, those bridesmaid dresses! They popped up in my reader *just* after I finished reading Overdressed, which already had me seriously considering sewing more of my own clothes? Clearly, it was meant to be :)

Thanks for the link love, Hallie! I’m honored to be in such great company :)

I love retro hairstyles…however, I have naturally curly hair, so I can only look longingly at the photos. Absolutely gorgeous though! And I love, love, LOVE those bridsemaid dresses! Swoon!

I have been off the computer all week so am barely catching up on my blog reading. So let me first say, I love the new blog look and title! It fits perfectly. :-)

Second, I just saw Sukie’s bridesmaids dresses earlier this morning and the first thing I said was, “Has Hallie seen these?! She would looove them!” They are gorgeous!
