30 Gifts for Gals

by Hallie @ Moxie Wife on December 12, 2013

When I first put up yesterday’s gifts for guys post, the title was phrased in a way that made it sound like I was offering suggestions to men for what to buy their wives. Oops! I changed it but not before the men of the Internet rose up and demanded retribution (wink). So, here it is. With the help of my friends on Facebook (see here), I’ve compiled a list of my favorite gifts for gals. I hope it helps, gentlemen!

30 Gifts for Gals!

  1. Bath Accessories – One gal recommended Lush Bath Bombs. I also love Barr Co. products.
  2. Umbra Bamboo Bathtub Caddy – To hold her glass of wine, of course!
  3. iPad or iPad Mini - Tablets are so great for those late nights that find her up with little ones. Their wonderful for the daytime, too, but I’m always especially grateful for mine in the wee hours of the morning.
  4. Simple Pearl Earrings or Diamond Earrings (both deeply discounted right now) – I always love wearing my pearl studs on days when my little ones are sick, needy, and/or grumpy. They can’t grab them (like they do with earrings that dangle) and even if I don’t have time to change out of my yoga pants, wearing special earrings puts that added spring in my step that I so need.
  5. A Date with You! –  Tuck a ‘Save the Date’ into her stocking and take care of the rest. She’ll love the surprise! (Friends on Facebook recommended a sleigh ride and orchestra/theater tickets.)
  6. A Night in a Hotel – After your date night drop her off at a nice hotel and tell her to relax and sleep in as late as she likes while you take care of the little ones. Pick her back up the next day with flowers in hand.
  7. BirchBox - Sign your wife up to receive a monthly delivery of high-end beauty, grooming, and lifestyle products that have been customized just for her!
  8. Sephora Gift Card - I’ve received a Sephora gift card as a present on many occasions and it is always such a treat. I usually tuck it away for a blue day then hop online for a little retail therapy.
  9. Etsy Gift Card - For the lady who covets unique gifts.
  10. Massage Envy Gift Card - A bit of relief for her tired body.
  11. Magnificat Subscription - Easily my favorite devotional.
  12. A Retreat – Send her away for a weekend of spiritual rejuvenation at a local monastery. She won’t mind a bit. Promise.
  13. A One-Time Deep Cleaning Service – Trust me when I say, this is all kinds of romantic.
  14. Under Cabinet CD Player - Dan bought me one of these recently (great product, btw) and it has been such a treat. I pop in one of my favorite CDs while I am cooking and cleaning and lose myself in the music.
  15. Bluetooth Speakers - Or you could just buy her a bluetooth speaker so that she can listen to her favorite music anytime and anywhere!
  16. Candles – I’m a big fan of Lollia candles.
  17. Flavor Infuser Water Bottle - Yum!
  18. Family Session with a Photographer – She will treasure the photos for the rest of her life.
  19. KitchenAid Mixer – The be all and end all of mixers.
  20. StorkSak Diaper Bag – A friend bought my a StorkSak diaper bag years ago and I love it more with each passing day. Pricey but gorgeous/well-made/well-designed and well worth the investment.
  21. Michael Kors Wristlet – Another Facebook recommendation. I love it. It can be so nice to leave the diaper bag at home once in a while.
  22. Polaroid Instant Mobile Printer – Point, click, and print in under a minute no matter where you are! Very, very cool.
  23. Le Creuset Dutch Oven – All of Le Creuset’s pieces are treasures but I have yet to meet a woman who doesn’t covet their dutch oven.
  24. Cozy Robe, Pajamas, and/or Slippers – Garnet Hill has a great sleepwear selection.
  25. A Spa Day – Most spas have great (and often discounted!) bundles of treatments that you can buy for her. I recommend reading reviews on Yelp if you don’t know of a good spa near you.
  26. A Nap! – Quite a few gals suggested this idea. Maybe you could make a coupon book full of nap coupons she can redeem!
  27. Sheer Infinity Scarf – Don’t let the awesome price fool you. I have one of these and it is wonderful!
  28. Chocolate – Do you have a Chocolatier in town? Artisan chocolates are always such a treat!
  29. A HappyLight – Does your wife get blue during the winter months? The HappyLight simulates natural daylight that will cue her body’s energy enhancers to improve mood and fight fatigue.
  30. Faux Fur Throw – She’ll be in heaven with you by her side and this throw in her lap. It probably wouldn’t hurt to throw in a bottle of wine, as well!

Take care, friends!

Thanks for putting these together! Maybe my husband will find this in his email later… ;) it may just be me, but I did notice a couple of the links weren’t working… I think the diaper bag was one of them. Just a heads up!

This is a great list! I’ve seen some things on here I think I might get for family members, and more than a thing or two I’d like myself!

I covet my Le Creuset dutch oven. If a meal can be made in it, I use it. If not, I boil my pasta in it, whatever. I use this all.the.time. Best money I ever spent on myself!
